Gamers in general seem to be an excitable bunch. If you’ve ever spent any time playing video games online, you know this to be the case.

You can imagine, then, how that might be amplified with professional gamers. It certainly was with Street Fighter V pros Kenneth “K-Brad” Bradley and Joshua “Wolfkrone” Philpot during and after their match at the ELeague Street Fighter V Invitational Wednesday.

But it seemed like little more than sour grapes, after Wolfkrone beat K-Brad, that took the whole thing to pro-wrestling type levels, and their post-match interview seemed headed towards fisticuffs.

This won’t legitimize their behavior any, but the two have reportedly had an ongoing beef since Wolfkrone beat K-Brad in January at Frosty Faustings IX then taunted him afterwards.

ELeague organizers were also apparently aware that the two were embroiled in some sort of rift and took preventative measures by placing a security guard on stage for just their match.

We have to say, this adds a layer of intrigue to the whole video game competition thing.
