Having parents talk to their kids about sex is an important part of life. It’s something that helps prepare them for things such as birth control and disease prevention. But more often than not kids are exposed to porn long before they have the talk about the birds and the bees.

According to Men’s Health, a new campaign launched by sexual health education site AMAZE called “Give The Talk” has porn stars encourage parents to educate their children about sex.

Adult film star Monique Alexander appears in the first ad, and she shared a rather surprising statistic: “Nearly 90 percent of children have seen hardcore porn by age 11. Even more troubling? No one’s explaining to them that porn is a fantasy, like an action movie or video game.”

She’s by no means encouraging kids to watch porn, but she is encouraging parents to talk to them before they’re exposed to it.

“Look, we don’t want to be your child’s role model. We think you are far more qualified to teach them the facts of life.”

This is definitely an approach like no other, and one that definitely gets the point across.
