It’s hard to fathom that 37 years have passed since Brooke Shields’ controversial print and television ads for Calvin Klein jeans catapulted her to mega stardom.

The 52-year-old mother of two is now reuniting with the clothing company for an upcoming advertising campaign that company officials have thus far been tight-lipped about.

?We are going to be working with Brooke again very soon,?said Clavin Klein CEO Steve Shiffman, who announced the collaboration Monday at Time Inc?s Cannes Lions Shakers & Stirrers event.

Shields was 15 when the ads first appeared in 1980 and many thought the campaign was too provocative. Network television stations ABC and CBS saw Shields’ famous line, “You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing,” as insinuating that Shields wasn’t wearing any underwear and quickly banned the commercial.

But the controversy made her a star, essentially turning her into one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood and launching her dual career as a fashion model and film actress. Here’s a look at that iconic ad.
