In Vero Beach, Florida, a pregnant woman was arrested for domestic battery after tossing cupcakes at her brother at the family home.

According to police, Latonya Daugherty, 24, was arguing with her 30-year-old brother when the situation escalated to her throwing cupcakes at her brother, Eddie Yadow.

Yadow retaliated by wiping frosting in her hair and allegedly kicking her in the stomach. Police determined that his actions exceeded a reasonable self-defense response. He was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery.

Daugherty informed officers of her pregnancy and was later released after paying a $1,000 bond. Her brother, however, is still locked up on a bond of $10,000 for the felony charge.
