Police have made an arrest in the murder of a 20-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Brooklyn after a threesome gone horribly wrong.

According to the New York Daily News, Christopher Membreno, 24, confessed to murdering Brooklyn resident Manos Ikonomidis after his girlfriend falsely told him that she had been raped. Police said the ill-fated encounter began when Ikonomidis was in the Park Slope apartment with an unnamed woman and 21-year-old Jack Doherty, and began filming the menage a trois.

The woman reportedly became enraged and the other man, who reportedly lived at the residence, took her home to Staten Island. Police said the woman then contacted Membreno, who went to the apartment in Brooklyn with two of his friends armed with knives and baseball bats.

Surveillance cameras captured footage of the three men chasing Ikonomidis as he tried to flee the building. Investigators said he was found lying in the building’s lobby around 4 a.m. Monday bleeding from three stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators also said the victim’s girlfriend received an Instagram message just before he was attacked that read: “Your boyfriend f–ked up and will be taken care of.”

Police said there is no evidence that the sex was anything but consensual.
