Florida woman in bikini contest charged with battery after cracking fellow competitor in the head with high-heeled shoe Twitter screen shot

The Miss Sailfish Regatta Bikini Contest in Florida ended in a battery charge for one competitor when she assaulted a fellow competitor with one of her high-heeled shoes.

Police in Stuart, a city of about 15,000 on Florida’s Treasure Coast, say the incident erupted when Erica Mize, 24, got into it with an unnamed 23-year-old woman, who is the current girlfriend of Mize’s ex-boyfriend, after the 11 contestants left the stage.

According to an arrest report, the woman told Mize she “was going to beat her ass.” When the contest was over, the woman yanked Mize’s arm and tried to pull her to the ground. Mize said she then pushed the woman away and, in the act of doing so, one of her shoes hit the woman in the head.

The 23-year-old woman, of course, tells a different story. She says she simply tapped Mize on the shoulder to talk to her after the contest and Mize turned around and cracked her on the head with her shoe.

And witnesses corroborated the woman’s story, saying Mize wildly swung her shoe at the woman and conked her on the head. The woman also had a lump on her head, according to the report.

No word on whether the shoe was platform, pump or stilletto style.
