If there was one thing we thought we were certain about, it’s that Woody Harrelson and weed went together like peanut butter and jelly, but apparently that’s no more.

In a recent article with Vulture, the Natural Born Killers star talked about how years of partying too hard led to him giving up the devil’s lettuce for good. The 55-year-old said he smoked for more than half of his life.

“Just 30 solid years of just partying too f—ing hard,” Harrelson said.

He was asked to reveal a common misconception people might have of him, to which he responded:

“They think I’m a party animal, which, I am a party animal,” he said. “I mean, that might be one thing. But I am a party animal. But on the other hand, I haven’t—I’m now extremely moderate and I actually stopped smoking pot almost a year ago.”

“I still drink. But I try to be moderate with the drinking, too.”

With upcoming films such as Wilson and the Hans Solo spinoff in the works, we’re eager to see how a weedless Woody is on film. But, nonetheless if the Woodster thought his toking up habits were getting to be too much, congrats to him for overcoming his love affair with the reefer.

We wonder how this will affect his ‘shroom consumption though.
