On this St. Patty’s Day, we bring you the classic, “Leprechaun in Mobile, Alabama” Youtube screen shot

St. Patrick’s Day is known for green beer, fun, and – in Mobile, Al., of all places — leprechauns.

Once upon a time, Mobile residents lost their minds and started reporting leprechaun sightings.

It became such a thing that the local TV station did a report on those who would go looking for the mythical creature. One guy brought out his magical leprechaun flute; another was going digging for a pot of gold. But of all of the lines, this is the best, from a woman who claims there isn’t any leprechaun:

“It could be a crackhead. They got hold of the wrong stuff and it told ‘em to get up in the tree and play a leprechaun.”

The video has been viewed more than 26 million times, and it’s a classic.
