Aaron Wiebe of YouTube channel “Uncut Angling” is giving new meaning to the idea of fly fishing.

In this video, the accomplished angler does away with the old rod and reel way of fishing, choosing instead to fix his lure to a drone while fishing  in Manitoba, Canada’s Lake Metigoshe. And it works quite well as Wiebe manages to hook a nice size bluegill.

It’s definitely a cutting edge approach to fishing. You can see Wiebe gets a nice bird’s eye view of fish in their beds as his drone flies over the lake. It’s a good thing he didn’t hook something big like a pike or bass, though. That would have been one expensive fishing trip.
