Former NBA player Rashad McCants says dating Khloe Kardashian cost him some serious cash Maxim Screenshot

With the NBA season over and the Finals getting underway next week, we’d like to bring you a public service announcement via former NBA star Rashad McCants: never date a Kardashian.

After a very successful college career, which was capped off by leading the North Carolina Tar Heels to a NCAA title, McCants was drafted 14th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves. In his first few seasons, he showed signs of star potential, but it never materialized, and he called it quits after four seasons in the league.

Nearly 10 years later, he’s expressing what appears to be a slight resentment towards an ex-girlfriend, whom he blames for his demise. The ex in question is none other than Khloe Kardashian.

According to the Charlotte Observer, McCants thinks had he not dated Kardashian, people would’ve taken his commitment to basketball more serious.

“Without that situation in play, I’m a $60-70 million player,” said McCants. “Easily.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard something of this nature relating to Kardashian. According to Maxim, MVP candidate James Harden credits his split with her for making him a better player. Although he did say it’s not because of her per se, but the attention that she attracts.

Kardashian is currently dating Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers. So if any of this hocus pocus about Kardashian is true, let’s hope Thompson doesn’t let it interfere with the Cavs and their attempt at repeating as NBA Champions.
