Yoga always seemed like something that would lend itself to sex quite well, at least from a guy’s point of view.

It’s hard not to look at poses like the locust and the downward dog without thinking dirty thoughts — especially if it’s a hot instructor doing them. According to a report by Elite Daily, that uncanny ability men have to see sex in almost everything is right on the money when it comes to yoga.

The report suggests that practicing yoga regularly can improve your sex life in a number of different ways, and here’s a few of them:

Strengthening the muscles used during sex.

Positions like cat-cow, bridge and headstand target the core and kegel muscles, helping achieve more powerful orgasms in women. For men, poses like the plank, downward-facing dog and chaturanga target the core and can help gain stamina in the bedroom.

Increasing flexibility.

That’s some coincidence. Crazy flexibility is the first thing men think about when they picture a woman practicing yoga. And there’s a lot of truth to it. The flexibility one gains from yoga can help prevent muscle strains and pulls during sex or almost any other injury that can be incurred during a bout of vigorous sex. Plus, a limber partner is just pretty damn hot!

Ups your libido.

It’s as simple as yoga helping the blood flow through the body better. And improving circulation to your sex bits like the pelvic region is what yoga does.

Relieves stress.

Everyone knows what stress can do to the body as well as the mind. It’s also a killer in the bedroom that can make it impossible for a man to rise to the occasion and just as difficult for a woman to get in the mood. Practicing yoga regularly decreases that stress, making you more likely to be able to get turned on and stay there.
