PETA got a lot more than it bargained for when it took on a group of die-hard bacon lovers Creative Commons

Bacon is basically the lifeblood of many a red-blooded American. So when animal rights organization PETA took to Twitter to ask people why they would eat it, needless to say, things didn’t go so well.

Twitter users both in favor of and against the consumption of bacon chimed in, and to say some of the comments were hilarious would be an understatement. Because when you ask bacon lovers to plead their case for eating bacon, they put all the cards on the table.

PETA took a series of losses standing up for what they believe in, and they have bacon-loving social media users to thank for it.
